Step 1

For preparing carrot fry, coarsely grind carrot and onion separately in a mixer grinder.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 3

Add cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick.

Step 4

Add the coarsely ground carrot and onion.

Step 5

Then add salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and ginger-garlic paste.

Step 6

Fry it on a medium flame for about 15 mins.

Step 7

Toss in the grated coconut and fry, until the raw smell is gone.

Step 8

Add garam masala powder and stir well. Remove from the flame.

Step 9

Carrot fry is ready.
