Step 1

For preparing carrot payasam, grate 1/4 kg of carrot and sautT it in ghee. Remove and keep it aside.

Step 2

Finely chop the remaining carrot and cook it in 1 cup of milk. Allow it to cook and blend it into a fine paste.

Step 3

In another vessel pour in milk and sugar. Allow it to boil, then lower the flame.

Step 4

Add in the blended carrot and allow it to boil for 1 minute.

Step 5

Then add in milkmaid, sauted carrot, fried cashew nuts, raisins and cardamom powder. Mix it well, allow it to simmer for 1 minute and remove it from the flame.

Step 6

Carrot payasam is ready.
