Ingredients

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200 degree cen 375 degree f or Gas Mark 5.

Step 2

Sieve flour together with baking powder and soda bicarbonate thrice.

Step 3

Mix and beat well the powdered sugar and oil.

Step 4

Add egg yolks and beat for 2 mins.

Step 5

Add all the dry ingredients.

Step 6

Pour in honey.

Step 7

Add vanilla essence.

Step 8

Beat the egg whites lightly stiff and fold into carrot mixture.

Step 9

Place in a greased tray dusted 8 cups capacity.

Step 10

Bake for 1 1/2 hrs.

Step 11

Remove from the oven and cool in the tin.

Step 12

Turn it over to a cooling rack.

Dear Shahana, I tried the recipe out.I didnt use any coconutand used butter instead of oil.Cake turned out good.Thank u very much for the recipe

Dear shehana, very colourful,rich with iron and tasty too . Itried with carrot and dates grinding like smoothy with oil and honey because my daughter doesnot like biting carrot. It actully enriched the color of cake. just keep it for a week actually tasted like fruitcake.keep it up.

Name the preservative and quantity to be added for 1.5 cup of maida indate carrotcake and when it should be added
