Step 1

Place the jackfruit pieces in a pressure cooker along with 11/2 glasses of water.

Step 2

Cook upto 2 whistles.

Step 3

Allow it to cool and grind it in a mixer grinder.

Step 4

:- Make sure that there are no lumps in it.

Step 5

Place a thick bottomed vessel (preferably a Urali) on flame.

Step 6

Put the ground jackfruit and the jaggery in it and stir well.

Step 7

Add ghee a little by little in between and stir well continuously.

Step 8

Stir till the water content gets evaporated completely.

Step 9

When it gets solidified well, add the powdered dry ginger, cumin seeds and cardamom and mix well.
