Step 1

Remove the skin off the seeds and cut it into two and then into small pieces.

Step 2

Place the grated coconut, cumin seeds, green chillies, garlic and curry leaves in a mixer bowl and run it once to get a coarse form.

Step 3

Cook chakkakuru along with turmeric powder, salt and a little water in a vessel.

Step 4

When it gets cooked, remove from the flame.

Step 5

Add the coconut mixture into the cooked seeds and mix well.

Step 6

Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 7

Splutter mustard seeds and sautT dry red chillies, rice and curry leaves.

Step 8

Add the chakkakuru-coconut mixture and mix well.

Step 9

Lower the flame and allow it to cook, stirring occasionally.

Step 10

Remove from flame, when done.


Very quick and easy recipe. The only thing i added was some lemon juice right at the end. Thank you for posting.
