Step 1

Soak channa in cold water for about 8 hours.

Step 2

Pressure cook it for about 15 mins.

Step 3

Smash the cooked channa well and keep it aside.

Step 4

Mix together smashed channa, 1/2 cup of rusk powder, onion, green chillies, ginger and salt.

Step 5

Mix 5 tbsp of maida with water and make it into a semisolid paste.

Step 6

:- It should not be watery.

Step 7

Make small balls off the channa mixture and and press it lightly.

Step 8

Roll it in the remaining rusk powder.

Step 9

Deep fry them in hot oil.

What needs to be done with the `maida paste` is NOT mentioned. Looks like one steo hasgone missing!
