Directions

Step 1

Clean the prawns very well.

Step 2

Cut onion, ginger, garlic into very small pieces.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 4

Add mustard seeds and when it splutters, add onion, ginger, garlic and curry leaves.

Step 5

Fry well till onion turns light brown.

Step 6

Add all the other powders and mix well.

Step 7

Add kukum star, salt and 3 cups of water. Close it with a lid and allow it to boil.

Step 8

When it boils, add green chillies and prawns.

Step 9

Cook Chemmeen(Prawns) curry for 15 minutes till it forms a gravy.To make the gravy thick, u can cook for a few minutes without closing the pan.

Step 10

:- Chemmeen(Prawns) curry is ready.

Step 11

:- Chemmeen(Prawns) curry is so tasty to go with chapathis.

Honestly, unless I tasted myself, never thought it will come so good... all while cooking I was thinking I wasted 1 pound of prawn.. but ddnt happen... very good and simple recipe...worth trying

Onion means the savola or the small onion(kunjulli) ? But I tried this receipe and it turned very tasty

i was little bit hesitant in the start,and i did`nt have anythinmg else at home.. so i cooked the receipe.. IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST PRAWN RECIPE FOR ROTI.. kEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.. THANX
