Directions

Step 1

Clean the prawns very well.

Step 2

Cut small onions and green chillies.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 4

Add prawns, onions, green chillies & curry leaves.

5)Fry well, till onion turns light brown.

Step 5

Add all the other powders and mix well.

Step 6

Add salt, tamarind juice and 3 cups of water.

Step 7

Cook, till the gravy thickens.

Step 8

:- Serve with rice and pulissery.

Maybe a good recipe... But This is definitely not theeyal... Before condemning people on the abc..s of cooking, please google it out....

The recipe is good. But this is not a theeyal recipe. It is only a chemeen curry. Theeyal means you need to fry grated coconut with masalas, jeera and then grinding to a fine paste and adding this to the curry. I am sure about it.

This is not a theeyal recipe. Theeyal means you need to fry coconut with masalas and then grind it and add this coconut gravy.

Gayathri, It was excellent!!! Some body commented like `it is not theeyal` the reason is they dont know the abc of cooking. Poor guys! I really feel pitty...Any way thanks for the wonderful and tasty receipe!!! expecting more odd items like this from you...

I tried this out...didnt come out as good as i expected..dont know if it is something i did..or the recipe itself...anyway...it was a disappointment for me..

i tried this out..it was really superb..Made small changes..First boil shrimp with some turmeric powder and salt for abt 10-15 mins..then fry it...
