Step 1

For preparing Chettinad Muringakka Sambar, first pressure cook thoor dhal and keep it aside.

Step 2

Cut Muringakka( Drumstick) into small pieces.

Step 3

Add Murungakai, onions and tomato to cooked dhal.

Step 4

Sdd Sambar powder and salt to the above mixture.

Step 5

Add water to cover and cook in low flame till the vegetables are cooked.

Step 6

Soak tamarind in water and extract thick juice from it

Step 7

Add this to the above and allow it to boil till it comes to desired consistency

Step 8

Heat little oil in a pan and add all seasoning items and add to sambar.

Step 9

Bring it to boil for another 2-3 minutes.

Step 10

:- Delicious Chettinad Spicy Drumstic Sambar is ready.

Step 11

:- Serve the Chettinad Muringakka Sambar hot!!
