Step 1

For preparing chick peas cutlets, soak the chick peas overnight and pressure cook it in salt water. Drain it and mash it with a fork.

Step 2

In a bowl, add mashed chick peas, onion, garlic, salt, chilly powder, carrot, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, garam masala, pepper powder, cumin powder and curry leaves. Mix it well with your hands.

Step 3

Then add in the oats powder and combine it well.

Step 4

Make small balls and make cutlet shapes. Keep them aside.

Step 5

Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the cutlets till brown in colour on low flame.

Step 6

Chick peas cutlets are ready. Serve hot with tea.
