Step 1

Soak the chick peas in water overnight.

Step 2

Boil them with the required amount of salt. Drain the water and keep them aside.

Step 3

Grind the coconut powder, roasted gram, kandankathiri powder, red chilli powder together with a pinch of salt and some water.

Step 4

Heat small amount of oil in the pan.

Step 5

Splutter the seasoning ingredients.

Step 6

Add the chick peas and stir well.

Step 7

Add the ground paste to it and cook for 5 mins.

Step 8

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Step 9

Note: Kandankathiri is Solanum Xanthocarpum. It is optional. We can use dried mango powder or any powder according to our taste.
