Step 1

For preparing chicken-egg upma, roast the vermicelli in a vessel for 1 minute. Remove it from the flame.

Step 2

Heat coconut oil in the same vessel and scramble the eggs with a pinch of pepper powder and salt. Remove it and keep it aside.

Step 3

In the same vessel heat coconut oil and saute the shallots with ginger-garlic paste.

Step 4

Then add in green chillies, chicken, pepper powder and salt. Saute for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Pour a little water and allow the chicken to cook.

Step 6

Then pour in 3 cups of water in the chicken and allow it to boil.

Step 7

Toss in the roasted vermicelli and scrambled eggs with curry leaves and mix it well. Allow it to cook on low flame with a lid.

Step 8

Chicken-egg upma is ready. Serve hot.
