Directions

Step 1

Cut chicken into medium sized pieces and wash well.

Step 2

Blend grated coconut, cumin seeds and poppy seeds in a mixer grinder.

Step 3

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Step 4

Fry cinnamon sticks, cloves and cardamom.

Step 5

When fried, add onions and green chillies and stir fry, till onion turns brown.

Step 6

Add chicken pieces, coriander powder, chilly powder and salt. Stir well for a little while.

Step 7

Add chopped tomatoes and curd along with a cup of water. Allow it to boil.

Step 8

When chicken is half-cooked, add the blended coconut mixture, coriander leaves and boil well, till chicken is fully cooked.

I tried without poppy seeds, also i used yoghurt instead of curd, It was very tasty, thanks for adding a good receipe.

I tried it once and it came out just as i had expected it to be....It tasted just like my moms chicken kuruma....Very nice recipe....keep posting good recipes like this...Thanx a lot for the recipe.Iam gonna make it again today....

Dear Author, Thanks a TON.... I did exactly as you mentioned. I think you missed out where to add the Garlic and Ginger. Anyway I figured out that it should be along with the spices at the start. Thanks once again.....
