Step 1

For making chicken turnovers, preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

Step 2

Cook the chicken in salt water and shred it. Keep it aside.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan and sautT onions till transparent.

Step 4

Add in the ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and salt. SautT it well.

Step 5

Sprinkle chilly powder, turmeric powder, chicken masala, curry leaves and garam masala. Mix it well.

Step 6

Then add in the shredded chicken, coriander leaves and lime juice. Mix well for 5 minutes.

Step 7

Using a 9 cm round cutter, cut 15 rounds from pastry sheets. Spoon 2 teaspoons of the chicken mixture in the centre of 1 round.

Step 8

Fold pastry over to enclose filling. Using a fork, press edges to seal.

Step 9

Place the turnovers on tray lined with baking paper. Repeat with remaining chicken mixture and pastry.

Step 10

Brush it with egg. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden.

Step 11

Chicken turnovers are ready. Serve for snacks.
