Step 1

For preparing chickpeas rice, heat ghee in a pan, add asafoetida, onion, split chickpeas, green chilly and water. Allow the split chickpeas to cook with required water till half done.

Step 2

When the split chickpeas is half cooked, add rice, curry leaves, 3 cups of water and salt. Allow it to cook on low flame till done and then remove it from the flame.

Step 3

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Step 4

Chickpeas rice is ready. Serve hot with any gravy.
