Directions

Step 1

Bring the milk to a boil.

Step 2

Add vinegar and stir till the milk curdles.

Step 3

Pour it out in cold water and strain to get paneer.

Step 4

Boil sugar in water and make a thin syrup.

Step 5

Paneer should be nicely beaten and smoothened. If found too soft, add a little maida and form a soft dough.

Step 6

Add pink colour to the dough and mix.

Step 7

Make oblong - shaped pieces off this dough and add to the boiling thin syrup.

Step 8

When cooked, these balls (chum chum) will float on top.

Step 9

Take little syrup and further dilute it by adding water.

Step 10

Now dip the boiled chum chums into this diluted syrup and soak for 8 - 10 minutes.

Step 11

Remove from syrup and place the chum chums in a platter. Pipe out some whipped sweetened cream over them.

Step 12

Garnish the chum chums with chopped nuts as toppings.
