Step 1

Cook the vegetable.

Step 2

Drain, peel and keep it aside.

Step 3

Grind the coriander seeds and red chillies into a fine powder.

Step 4

Sprinkle the powder over the vegetable.

Step 5

Sprinkle the asafoetida powder and salt over the vegetable.

Step 6

Mix well and keep it aside.

Step 7

Heat a little oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 8

Add mustard seeds and black gram.

Step 9

When the mustard seeds crackle, add the vegetable and saute, until the curry is done.

Step 10

:- More oil may be added, if necessary.
