Step 1

For preparing colcannon, wash, peel and boil the potatoes. Mash the potatoes and keep it aside.

Step 2

Wash and shred cabbage. Remove the stems and boil in salt water until tender. Keep it aside.

Step 3

Wash and peel the carrots and turnip. Cut into pieces and cook it till tender. Mash until smooth.

Step 4

Melt butter in a pan. Add in the mashed potatoes, cabbage, carrot and turnip puree.

Step 5

Stir all the ingredients together until they are thoroughly heated.

Step 6

Mix in the brown sauce, salt and pepper powder.

Step 7

Colcannon is ready. Serve with lamb.
