Step 1

For cleaning the crabs:
1)Wash the crab well. Ensure that all dirt from the shell is removed. Wash it with a bristle scrubber if required.

Step 2

Remove legs and claws and break each into two and crack the bigger pieces v this will help the spices to get to the meat easily.

Step 3

Remove the top shell and discard.

Step 4

Clean the meat that is in the bottom shell.

Step 5

Pull out and discard all the brown/ash color µligament¦ parts.

Step 6

Clean the meat well by removing all the yellow/brown gooey stuff.

Step 7

Cut each into four pieces.

Step 8

For making Crab piralan:
1)Heat oil on a medium high heat in a pan.

Step 9

Put in curry leaves and stir.

Step 10

Add ginger and garlic and sautT.

Step 11

When it is light brown, add sliced onion and sautT till golden.

Step 12

Reduce heat to medium and add chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and fenugreek powder and roast well.

Step 13

Add the tamarind mixture and mix well.

Step 14

Raise heat to medium high and add the water and bring to a boil.

Step 15

Add salt and mix well.

Step 16

Add the crab pieces and mix well.

Step 17

Cook covered, mixing occasionally. Cook for about 15 minutes, remove cover and cook until the gravy is thick enough to coat the crab.

Step 18

:- For best results, cook at night and reheat and reduce the gravy the next day. Do not refrigerate during the night. This way, the meat will absorb the spices well.

Ethano carab curry, ente friendsnu njan make chaithu koduthu, avar onnum parayathe erangi poyi, ennittu quationu koduthu, enne thallichu, nerittu adikkan vishamam ayirunnu avarkku, so any bdy don`t make. okkkkk
