Step 1

Cook rice in a pressure cooker and leave it for about 3 hours in a closed vessel.

Step 2

Pour sour curd, milk, salt into the rice and mix well.

Step 3

Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds. When it pops, add black gram, red chillies and roast them fully. Then, add a pinch of asafoetida.

Step 4

Remove from fire and add this to the curd rice.

Step 5

Mix well the mixture and the curd rice is ready to be served.

For Kannadiga style curd rice, add some pomegranate (maathalam) seeds and seedless green grapes.

very simple yet tasty food. yes i prefer curd rice with pakkoda or mixture. good combination every one should try. its mouthwatering hot and sout dish.

Easy curd rice. Curd rice can be done more easier. Heat oil in a pan,put mustard seeds and curry leaves,then put green chillies andginger.Add then to rice which is mixed with curd and salt. mix everything together.

Curd rice can be made tastier by adding tadka of garlic,green chilies,curry leaves and mustard seeds. Garnish it with corriander.Take oile add mustard seeds chilies and fry garlic in it till brown.Then add curry leaves. Do not add this tadka to curd rice when hot.
