Pressure cook dal with salt to taste.
Cut ginger and and garlic into thin juliennes (strips).
Heat ghee in a pan.
Add garlic, ginger and green chillies.
Add turmeric powder.
Add the cooked dal and boil.
:- Serve hot with chappathis.

you can use the same for Tuvar dal and also had a pinch of chilly powder when adding to turmeric..it tastes excellent...if possible garnish with coriander leaves also :)

This is really a simple and healthy receipe.Try this with equal amount of split moong dal,Thuvar dal,Channa dal(split yellow peas) and Lentils with same seasoning.Onions and tomatoes are optional.
The dish is really easy to prepare,and its tasting excellent.
