Step 1

For preparing deep fried shrimps chutney, remove the head of the shrimps.

Step 2

Heat oil in a deep frying pan and deep fry the shrimps on low flame till it becomes golden brown in colour. Remove it and keep it aside to cool.

Step 3

Grind the deep fried prawns and dry red chillies into a fine powder.

Step 4

Add this above powder in a bowl.

Step 5

Mix in tamarind juice, melted jaggery and salt. Add more tamarind juice if required.

Step 6

Deep fried shrimps chutney is ready. Serve as a side dish.
