Directions

Step 1

For preparing delicious black forest gateau, preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius.

Step 2

Grease the tin with butter and dust with maida.

Step 3

Blend 4 egg yolks and sugar.

Step 4

Add in maida, corn flour, cocoa, cinnamon and baking powder. Blend it again well.

Step 5

Pour in milk and blend it again to get an even consistency.

Step 6

Whisk the egg whites until stiff.

Step 7

Mix the egg whites with the above mixture gently and pour it into the greased tin.

Step 8

Bake it for 30 minutes and allow it to cool. Then turn it over to cool completely on a wire rack.

Step 9

Make chocolate flakes out of the dark chocolate.

Step 10

Stir cherries with the kirsch.

Step 11

Whip the cold cream until fluffy. Mix it with the cherries mixture.

Step 12

Mix in the icing sugar.

Step 13

Cut the cooled cake into three layers.

Step 14

Spread the cherry cream mixture on the first layer and cover it with the second layer of cake.

Step 15

Again spread the cherry cream layer on top of the second layer and cover it with the third layer.

Step 16

Spread the remaining cherry cream mixture on top of the third layer and spread chocolate flakes over it.

Step 17

Delicious black forest gateau is ready.
