Step 1

Mix all ingredients except fruit salt
and make a smooth batter.

Step 2

Keep aside for 10 mins.

Step 3

Take a pan of boiling water ready to steam the dhoklas.

Step 4

Grease a plate with oil.

Step 5

Add the fruit salt to the batter and mix well.

Step 6

:- It will become frothy.

Step 7

Pour into the prepared plate and steam in a closed pan for 10 mins.

Step 8

:- Do not add whistle.

Step 9

Leave it to cool for 5 mins.

Step 10

Cut into pieces and invert plate onto bigger plate.

Step 11

Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 12

Add the ingredients for seasoning and pour this over the prepared dhoklas.

Step 13

Garnish with fresh coriander and coconut.

Step 14

:- Baking soda can be substituted instead of fruit salt.
