Step 1

For preparing duck(tharavu) thengapal curry, first mix second coconut milk(rendampalu), ginger crushed, shallots, green chillies crushed, potato, salt, cinnamon, cloves and little curry leaves.

Step 2

Add duck pieces and pressure cook it.

Step 3

When done, keep this aside with gravy.

Step 4

Heat a wok and add oil. Add curry leaves, ginger paste, garlic and onion.

Step 5

Fry till onion changes to golden color. Add slit green chillies, coriander, turmeric and chilly powder. Sprinkle little salt.

Step 6

Add the cooked duck with gravy. Let the coconut milk change to thick gravy. Add tomato pieces. Mix well.

Step 7

Add first coconut milk(onnam palu) and make a thick gravy.

Step 8

Pour little oil on top and remove from flame.

Step 9

Duck(tharavu) thengapal curry is ready to serve.
