Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
Splutter mustard seeds.
Add black gram or moong dal in it.
When it starts turning brown, add the garlic and the red chillies.
Let the garlic turn a little brown.
Add the spinach. Mix it a little.
Add salt & close it and let it cook for 5 mins.
When the spinach is almost done, add the grated coconut.
Mix well and let it cook for 2 - 3 mins.
:- Serve with hot rice and pappad.
:- This recipe was invented when there was absolutely nothing at home except for spinach & onions and turned out to be extremely tasty. Hope you`l like it :)
