Grind green chilly, ginger and garlic to make a paste.

Heat oil in a big bottom thick vessel.

SautT + pc of onion, cinnamon, bay leaf and cardamom till the onion turn deep brown in colour. Take it from the oil and keep it aside.

Pour water, salt and + tsp of garam masala and let it boil.

Once the water boils add the biryani rice and let it cook with closed lids till the water drains. In between mix in the pure ghee with the rice. Take it from flame and keep it aside.

Fry cashewnut and raisins in pure ghee and keep it aside.

In a pressure cooker sautT onion, salt, + tsp garam masala, coriander leaves in 2-3tbsp of oil and 2tsp of pure ghee.

Add tomato and sautT again.

Then add the beef, green chilly paste and mix well.

Then add + tsp of garam masala and cook it with closed lids for 15-20 minutes or till the beef gets well cooked. Shut the flame.

Open the lid and mix in the lemon juice.

Now place a piece of aluminium foil or banana leaf on top of the beef masala.

Spoon in some rice and sprinkle the sautTed onion and cashew-raisins on top of it. Repeat the procedure till the rice reaches the top of the cooker. Close the lid and cook it in low flame. This procedure is called µdum¦ . its done to bring the flavor of the masala to the rice.
