Step 1

For preparing easy butter biscuits, grease a baking tray with butter.

Step 2

Dust a little maida evenly coating the baking tray.(this avoids the biscuits from sticking to the bottom).

Step 3

Take a bowl and add 175 grams of butter and caster sugar. Mix until it becomes a smooth cream.

Step 4

Break the eggs into another bowl and beat with an egg beater. Add vanilla essence.

Step 5

Slowly add the beaten eggs into the sugar and butter mixture.(do not add altogether. It will curdle)

Step 6

Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.

Step 7

Mix well to make a dough.

Step 8

Divide it into two equal pieces. Put the two pieces of dough into two different plastic bags.

Step 9

Keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes.(refrigerating the dough will allow to roll the dough easily)

Step 10

Meanwhile heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Step 11

Remove the chilled dough from the fridge.

Step 12

Roll the dough with a chapatti rolling pin. Sprinkle maida on the surface and roll until it is half a centimetre thick.

Step 13

Take a pastry cutter and cut out any design.

Step 14

Remove the biscuits slowly and place it on the baking tray.

Step 15

Put the baking tray into the oven. Allow it to cook until it becomes golden brown.

16)Remove the tray out of the oven once it is golden brown. Allow it to cool.

Step 16

Then remove it from the tray and place the biscuits on a wire rack to become nice and crispy.

Step 17

Easy butter biscuits are ready. Pour chocolate syrup or powdered sugar on top of it and serve.
