Directions

Step 1

Thaw the pastry sheet by leaving it out in room temperature for about an hour or so.

Step 2

:- You can defrost it, using a microwave. But should be careful not to cook it.

Step 3

Boil the eggs and cut them into halves.

Step 4

Spread the sheet and then roll it a bit, so the thickness is half of what it was originally.

Step 5

Cut the pastry sheets into rectangles and place one egg piece in one half of the rectangle and fold the other half over it.

Step 6

Seal the corners by making them little wet.

Step 7

Repeat the procedure for the remaining eggs.

Step 8

Place these on a sheet of aluminium foil in the oven at 375 deg C for about 45 mins or till they turn golden brown.

Step 9

Turn egg puffs in about 30 mins.

Step 10

:- This egg puffs makes a great and easy snack for parties.
:- You can make the potato masala (or left over vegetable fry) that you use for Bondas and stuff the pastry with potato instead of the egg.
:- You can fry onions, pepper and ginger garlic and salt and add with the egg to make it with masala.

Step 11

:- Enjoy the egg puffs.

I remember having egg puff when I was a kid.And this was way back in 1988. Blev it or not the first egg puff i had was plain with just the egg and dough. It tasted superb. However the ones which come out today too with masala and stuff is great. It is worth trying out this recipe, but yes masala and onions will add taste to it.
