  • For preparing the delicious stir fry, first chop elephant yam, cook it in water with red chilly powder turmeric powder and salt as required.
  • Coarsely grind grated coconut, green chilly, cumin seeds and garlic in a mixer.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add coconut bits in it.
  • When it turns to golden brown in colour add curry leaves and dry red chilly. Make sure that the chilly is not burnt.
  • Add the ground coconut masala. Stir fry in low flame for a few minutes.
  • Add the previously cooked yam.
  • Mix it well and cook it again for 1 minute.
  • The delicious and nutritious stir fry is ready to serve with rice.
