In a bowl, mix well the flour together with baking powder. Keep aside.
Take the butter, sliced into pieces. Add sugar to this and mix well using a whisk.
Add the eggs, one at a time.Making sure each egg is perfectly incorporated before you add another.
Add strawberry syrup.
Pour into a deep pan and cook for about 35 - 40 minutes until a nice aroma comes out. cook the other side for 5 minutes.
Cut the cake into 2 equal parts as shown.
In a bowl, take 2 tsp whipping powder, add 1 tsp water and whisk for 2 - 3 minutes. Add grated cherries to it. Whisk again.
Spread this in between the cakes.
In a bowl, take ½ cup whipping powder, and make the whipping cream with same steps, without adding cherries. Spread them over the cake.
Refrigerate and use.
