Step 1

For preparing fenugreek leaves with dal vadai, heat 1 tsp of ghee in a pan and roast the dal vadi¦s for 2 minutes. Remove and keep aside.

Step 2

Heat the remaining ghee in the same pan and crackle the cumin seeds.

Step 3

Then add in the grated ginger, salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and coriander powder. Fry it for 2 minutes on low flame.

Step 4

Pour in the tomato puree and fry till the ghee separates.

Step 5

Toss in the roasted dal vadi¦s, peas, potato and fenugreek leaves.

Step 6

Add 2 cups of water and allow it to cook covered on a low flame till they become tender.

Step 7

Cook for some more time and add a little more water, if required.

Step 8

Garnish with garam masala. Serve hot with chapattis.

Step 9

Fenugreek leaves with dal vadai is ready. Serve hot.
