For preparing french pancakes, take a large bowl and mix in sifted maida, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Slowly pour in the milk, egg and melted butter. Mix until it is smooth and lump free.
Heat a frying pan over medium high heat. Pour a spoon full of the batter and make small dosa`s.
Pour a little oil and fry on both the sides it becomes light brown.
French pancakes are ready. Serve hot with jam.
