Step 1

For preparing glazed caramel custard, caramelize 1/2 cup sugar in a heavy skillet.

Step 2

Glaze the bottom of and sides of the custard cups with the caramelized sugar.

Step 3

Combine the remaining sugar with eggs, vanilla essence, milk cream and salt. Pour it into the custard cups.

Step 4

Place the cups in a pan of hot water and bake it in the oven at 180 degrees celsius(350 degreed F) for 35 minutes or until it becomes firm and a knife inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Step 5

Invert the caramel custard on a serving dish. Allow it to cool and put it in the refrigerator.

Step 6

Glazed caramel custard is ready. Serve chilled.
