Step 1

For preparing goan chicken kaphrel, clean the chicken and cut into big pieces.

Step 2

Marinate the chicken with salt and coconut vinegar.

Step 3

Grind coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, green chillies, cardamon, cinnamon, cloves, pepper powder and lemon juice without adding water.

Step 4

Apply it on the chicken and keep it aside for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Heat a china dish without adding oil.

Step 6

Cook the chicken in the china dish in low flame without adding oil. Cover with a lid while cooking.

Step 7

Turn it over at intervals. Allow all the sides to cook.

Step 8

If the chicken is sticking on to the dish, add a little water. Remove the chicken once it is cooked.

Step 9

Goan chicken kaphrel is ready. Serve it with rice, bread, chappathi etc.
