Step 1

For preparing gram flour dhokla, in a bowl, mix in gram flour, water and sour yogurt to make a smooth lump free batter. Keep it aside for 5 hours.

Step 2

Then add in green chilly paste, ginger paste, and salt to the batter. Mix well.

Step 3

In another small bowl, mix soda-bi-carb and 1 tbsp of water. Keep it aside.

Step 4

Heat water in a steamer.

Step 5

Grease a flat vessel.

Step 6

Add soda-bi-carb into the flour mixture and mix well. Pour the batter immediately into flat greased vessel.

Step 7

Place it into the steamer for about 15 minutes.

Step 8

Then remove the flat vessel from the oven. Allow it to cool and then cut into squares.

Step 9

Heat oil in a vessel, splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

Step 10

Then toss in the curry leaves and remove it from the flame.

Step 11

Pour this seasoning on the dhokla¦s.

Step 12

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Step 13

Gram flour dhokla¦s are ready.
