Step 1

For preparing green gram fry, first soak green gram in water for few minutes.

Step 2

Grind the green gram to fine paste(like idly batter) with required water and salt.

Step 3

Take a idly steamer and pour the batter in it. Steam for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Take out from the steamer when it is done. Cut into square pieces and keep aside.

Step 5

Cut onion roughly, and grind it with chilly powder in mixer.

Step 6

Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Add curry leaves.

Step 7

Add the ground paste of onion and saute for few minutes.

Step 8

Now add the steamed green gram pieces and mix well.

Step 9

Green gram fry, a tasty snack time dish is ready.

Step 10

Serve hot with tea or coffee.
