Step 1

Pressure cook green papaya pieces with turmeric and salt in little water (approximately 3 whistles). Or you can cook it covered in a vessel along with turmeric powder and salt, till done. Grind together coconut, garlic and cumin to a coarse mixture. 2)Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 2

Splutter mustard seeds and saute curry leaves.

Step 3

Fry onion till pinkish in color.

Step 4

Add chilly powder.

Step 5

Add green papaya pieces and coconut mixture and cook till all the water is gone.

Step 6

:- When cooked, green papaya should neither be too soft or too hard.
