Step 1

Soak green peas for 8 hours.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry cloves, onion, green chillies, ginger and garlic.

Step 3

When the onion turns brown, add tomato and cook for 1-2 min.

Step 4

Add turmeric powder and garam masala.

Step 5

Add soaked green peas, potato, salt, required water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until done.

Step 6

Grind coconut, cumin seeds and cashew nuts and add to the cooked green peas.

Step 7

Temper with mustard seeds & curry leaves.
