Step 1

For preparing green peas in yogurt, cook the green peas in salt water. Drain it and keep it aside.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a vessel.

Step 3

Add in the onion seeds, green chilies and onion. Saute till the onion becomes golden brown in colour.

Step 4

Then add in turmeric powder, grated coconut and salt. Saute for 1 minute on low flame.

Step 5

Add the green peas into the pan. Stir fry gently for 5 minutes, until the green peas become lightly golden brown.

Step 6

Pour in the yogurt, tomatoes and fresh coriander. Allow it to cook for 2 minutes and remove it from the flame.

Step 7

Green peas in yogurt is ready. Serve as a side dish with rice.
