Ingredients

  • Dry Sprats : 200 gm (Unakka Meen)
    Bombay onion cut into half a rounds : 1 big
    Green chillies cut into 2 long wise : 5 nos
    Chilly pieces : 2 tsp
    Roasted chilli powder : 1 tsp
    Saffron : a pinch
    Curry leaves : 1 Spring
    Garlic cut into pieces or chopped : 1 clove
    Goraka : 1 Piece
    Coconut oil : 2 tsp
    Tomato cut into pieces (optional) : 1 no
    Water : ¼ cup
    Salt : to taste

For preparing Halmasso Thel Dala : Unakka Meen, wash dry sprats thoroughly.

Put dry sprat into a saucepan and add chilli powder, saffron, and mix.

Then add chilli pieces, goraka, garlic, curry leaves, tomato and mix.

Put some water and cook.

When the water is dry add green chillies, onions, and add coconut oil and temper it for 3 minutes.
