Step 1

For preparing healthy potato soup, soak dal in water for 3 hours.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cardamom.

Step 3

Toss in the onions and saute well.

Step 4

Add masoor dal, potato, salt, sugar and black pepper.

Step 5

Add milk and water. Cover it with the lid and allow it to cook.

Step 6

Open the lid and then allow it simmer to for 10 minutes.

Step 7

Remove it from the pressure cooker and allow it to cool.

Step 8

Blend it, strain it and boil it again.

Step 9

Garnish with grated cheese and coriander leaves.

Step 10

Healthy potato soup is ready. Serve immediately.
