Directions

Step 1

For preparing idli - brahmin special, soak boiled rice and raw rice together in water.

Step 2

Soak urad dal in water separately.

Step 3

After 3 hours grind them separately.

Step 4

After grinding, mix both the items to make a batter(Kindly note that idli preparation can be made only after 6 to 7 hours of fermentation).

Step 5

Pour the batter in idli maker plates(idli tray). Oil the idli plate with gingelly oil if it is stainless steel.

Step 6

Steam the idli until done.

Step 7

Idli - brahmin special recipe, is ready.

How much water should i use to grind the rice n urad dal seperately. And what should be the batter consistency of the final mix?
