Ingredients

Directions

Step 1

For preparing jeera chicken fry, first dry fry the cumin seeds and pepper corns in low heat. Powder them and mix with red chilly powder. Keep this aside.

Step 2

Grind together ginger, garlic and green chillies to a smooth paste.

Step 3

Mix together the ginger mixture, previously prepared cumin pepper mix and required salt.

Step 4

Apply this paste on the chicken pieces and marinate for 45 minutes.

Step 5

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and fry the onions until brown and crisp. Remove the onions from fire.

Step 6

In the same oil, fry the marinated chicken pieces until golden brown and done. Drain off excess oil and let the chicken pieces remain in the kadai itself.

Step 7

Stir in fried onions and add lime juice. Mix well with the fried chicken pieces.

Step 8

Jeera chicken fry is ready. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
