Step 1

Soak both the dals for 2 hours.

Step 2

Grind them into a slightly coarse paste.

Step 3

Put this mixture on an idli plate and steam in a large vessel (as for idlis).

Step 4

Remove them from the plate and allow to cool in a large vessel or plate.

Step 5

Make a paste of green chillies and ginger and keep it aside.

Step 6

In a pan, heat oil and add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder.

Step 7

Add 1 tsp of chillie-ginger paste and fry. To this, add the prepared mixture.

Step 8

Squeeze out 1/2 lime on it.

Step 9

Add few coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 10

For the kachoris:-
1)Mix maida and salt by adding water little by little until the dough becomes tight.

Step 11

Keep this dough in a wet cloth and cover it for 10 min.

Step 12

Make small balls of this dough and flatten them.

Step 13

Place stuffing on this and close the ends.

Step 14

Deep fry in oil.
