Directions

Step 1

Soak the cashews in water for around 4 hours.

Step 2

Drain the cashews and grind them to a fine paste by using very little water.

Step 3

Take a heavy saucepan and put sugar followed by the cashew paste.

Step 4

Cook on slow to medium heat.

Step 5

Cook while stirring continuously till a soft lump is formed.

Step 6

Add ghee and cardamom powder and mix well.

Step 7

Spread on a clean greased worksurface.

Step 8

Roll lightly with a rolling pin, to 1/8" thickness.

Step 9

Apply silver foil.

Step 10

Allow it to cool.

Step 11

Cut into diamond shaped katlis.
