Step 1

Soak rice and black gram for a few hours.

Step 2

Wash and grind to a coarse batter adding enough water.

Step 3

Keep it overnight for fermentation.

4)Heat oil in a pan.

Step 4

Add the rest of the ingredients and sautT.

Step 5

Add it to the batter along with the salt.

Step 6

:- Make sure that the batter is thick.

Step 7

Steam in Idli moulds or greased plate for 10 - 20 mins.

:-Serve hot with tomato chutney or Sambhar.
