tamil: Maida Maavu
malayalam: Maida Mavu
telugu: Maida Pindi
kannada: Maida Hittu
Mix together maida and rice powder.
Add salt and kesari powder.
Add water enough to make a liquid paste and mix well.
Take pieces of plantain and dip in batter one by one.
Deep fry in oil.

The rice flour makes the banana fry hard.It is best to use just maida, no wheat flour, no rice flour
really good recipe.i used to mix rice flour aswell....and plantain is same as banana.....and even bit cardamom give more tate

Nethrapazham is banana and not plantains. Wheat flour with a little sugar added is a good substitute for rice and maida flour, but is best served warm.

Its good but have to add sugar as well. A pinch of salt with more sugar will be excellent.
