Step 1

For preparing kidney beans idly, soak raw rice and fenugreek seeds in water.

Step 2

In another vessel soak split black gram in water separately.

Step 3

Grind raw rice, fenugreek seeds, cooked rice and split black gram with required water to make a semi thick batter. Ferment overnight.

Step 4

Next day, add in the half cooked kidney beans and salt. Mix it well.

Step 5

Heat oil in a vessel and splutter mustard seeds. Put it into the batter and mix well.

Step 6

Grease idly moulds with oil and pour the kidney bean batter into it.

Step 7

Steam it in an idly steamer till done.

Step 8

Kidney beans idly¦s are ready. Serve hot with chutney.
