Step 1

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 2

Add mustard seeds, Bengal gram and cumin seeds.

Step 3

When they splutter, add curry leaves, onion and red chillies and saute for 2 mins.

Step 4

Add tomato and saute again for 2 mins, until it gets mashed.

Step 5

Add turmeric powder followed by water and salt.

Step 6

Allow it to boil.

Step 7

When it boils, add vermicelli and allow it to boil for 2 mins.

Step 8

Add rava and mix well.

Step 9

Allow it to boil for 1 min.

Step 10

When all the excess water drains and it comes to the stage (like upma), turn off the flame.

Step 11

Add coriander leaves and ghee and mix well.

Step 12

:- Serve hot with coconut chutney.

hi. Was looking for it since some time. gud one. I added a little chopped ginger and some cinnamon while frying the onions after spluttering mustard. Thats a nice taste too. Thanks
